Our ongoing mission is to provide quality precast concrete products, with the best possible customer service, giving our customers the best value for their money. We strive to be accommodating and fair to our customers as well as our employees while maintaining a viable, safe and profitable business.
We will sustain long-term growth through a strong work ethic, superior performance, and valued relationships.
SAFETY: We always put the safety of our people first. The safety of ourselves and others overrides the cost, speed, and any other job-related concerns. We strive for zero harm to our employees, to the public, or to the environment. We evaluate our options and exercise prudent judgment before taking any actions that may result in unnecessary risks.
ACCOUNTABILITY: We accept individual accountability and responsibility. We all make decisions and recognize that we are all responsible for the outcome.
FIRST-RATE: Our goal is to be the best in the industry and provide the highest level of customer service. We promote innovation, teamwork, and employee development. We welcome the opportunity to learn and teach. We embrace change as part of growth.
ETHICAL: We are committed to the highest ethical standards in the industry. We achieve this through honesty, trust, and respect. Our word is our bond and our actions are the basis for our relationships.
In its early years, Precast of Maine was focused primarily on products for residential use. As the company grew and Terry’s son Ben became involved, we have come to produce a wider range of concrete products for all types of construction throughout Maine.
Our product line grew to include septic tanks, lift stations, manholes, catch basins, light bases, utility boxes, custom work, retaining wall systems by Stone Strong and Stone Terra, and much more.
In January 2008, a new computerized concrete batch plant was constructed allowing us to retire our old truck-mounted concrete mixers. This improvement in efficiency and product quality control (as well as reducing our carbon footprint) was another step towards meeting our growing customer demands.
January 1st, 2016 Crooker Construction, LLC acquired Precast of Maine. Since that time, Precast of Maine has expanded its truck fleet, built a modern office space and purchased new forms to better serve our customers.
Our most valuable resource is our people. We have a highly skilled local labor force, many who have 20, 30 or even 40 years’ experience in the industry. These leaders are always training the next generation, as we believe internal training is essential.
